An amulet, also known as a good luck charm, is an object believed to confer protection upon its possessor. The word "amulet" comes from the Latin word amuletum, which Pliny's Natural History describes as "an object that protects a person from trouble". Wikipedia
Amulets were often worn or carried on a person for these reasons, to protect them from things like the evil eye, curses or negative energy.
I believe that creating an amulet for personal reasons to be an easy one, as it is really abut creating and setting an intention for a piece that we select for ourselves.
This piece was created with this in mind along with a sprinkle of practical magic, in that ideally one should also find beauty in their sacred pieces and want to wear them often!
The focal bead here is from Tibet and with its three central pieces of turquoise set perfectly within the centre of the bead it reminded me of being protected on all sides, almost like an eye watching for us was we wear it.
Turquoise is a truth seeker, often plunging beneath the surface to figure out what is working for and what isn’t. Due to the softer nature of Turquoise it tends to ease us into our work by giving us courage, strength, and a calmness of mind. This stone helps us to develop our own deep sense of intuition and offers us protection from others who seek to deceive us, thus making it a wonderful stone for both a talisman dealing with outer energies as well as inner.
Turquoise is a stone of voice and using it, helping us to find and speak out truth, as we swing back again to it being a truth seeker!
