Follow your own Mystery.........
Remember your guides and ancestors.
Reclaim your own pathway.....
Reclaim your own pathway.....
The Priestess Pathway is an initiatory process of self discovery. Using ancient technologies of entering safely into the spirit/otherworld, some call this shamanic or spirit journeying, crossing the hedge or simply communicating with the spirit world.
Each apprentice learns the "form" and then works to discover their own way.
Working with guided videos you will learn what exactly a spirit journey is and is not, as well as the ethics and cultural appropriation that surrounds the word "shaman and shamanic".
Stepping forward with integrity and solid grounding you will enter the journey realm to discover your animal ally.
We will cover protection and boundary making, and create a safe container as we deepen into ancient animistic ways.
We will peer into our darkest shadow selves and discover the inner light required to navigate the rockiest of storms that can blow through our lives.
The 13 archetypes and our guides provide the foundation And support we need as we stretch into some of the darker areas of our inner terrain and grow.
Asking the deep and hard questions within helps us to understand and begin to slowly define our own authentic destiny path.
In this way we will journey with each archetype and sit with specifically curated journal questions that will calls us to take a closer look at our lives and ways of being, this is the work on the path of the healer...
This shadow work will not be easy and will ask us to show up not just for our own inner work, but also to look at the world around us and the ways we show up within it. By this I mean the patriarchal, overculture that includes feminism that is generally not intersectional and why this is a problem, as well as understanding how we all have been taught to function in a culture that seems to value whiteness and white supremacy above all else. Our spiritual work includes activist work because this is the path of the priestess, a path of integrity that does not bypass the shadow.
Included in our work is the course The Magic and Folklore of Trees, as it supports apprentices not only in the spirit realm, but also with developing a relationship to the natural world. This is inherently a big part of an animist practise.
Working within the spirit realm we will spend 13 months working within a sacred grove which resides in the spirit realm, and is a secret initiatory process shared only with students of the mystery school.
These 13 trees hold deep archetypical wisdom teachings and our time spent with the trees serves to deepen our priestess work both as animists and humans respecting sharing this beautiful land we live on.
Each tree caries an archetypal energy that we will be journeying with to receive wisdom on our pathway to healing.
With every archetype we will drop into understanding the goddess in many of her different forms. These goddesses serve to hold and carry the archetypical essence, and as such hold deep space almost like a homeopathic tincture for the work. These goddess serve up the medicine we need on a deep soul level.
Should a goddess call to us, we are encouraged to follow that lead and drop more deeply into understanding of that goddess and what she means for our lives and work we are engaged in.
Understanding the matrilineal culture that we all once came from servs to support us on our journey and strengthens our understanding of true sovereignty. Apprentices are encouraged not to simply dabble in each goddess, but learn about the culture she comes from and develop a cultural respect and understanding before all else. If a certain goddess calls, she becomes a part of the personal pathway of the apprentice.
A big part of our work together is in the creation of bundles that over the course of this journey will become filled with sacred objects, one for each archetype.
These sacred objects are journeyed for in the spirit realm and serve to represent the archetypal aspects of ourselves.
Each bundle becomes deeply personal in nature, for they literally come from the soul of the woman who has created it.
Bundle work takes up a significant part of our time together, as it becomes a power object that stays with each priestess forever.
Cycling with the seasons: When I first sat down to create this aspect of the lesson it was with the intention of creating a space for women and folks who do not bleed, and for whom neither and Blood Mysteries or the Menopausal Mysteries fit.
it was about time that there was space for women
and folks to be able to track their own rhythms beyond just the menstrual cycle.
As I wrote and journeyed and reflected on my own land honouring and animist practise I realized the importance of this work and that it essentially is deeply important for everyone to drop into, and that is is accessible for all priestesses at the school.
The result is a specially curated lunar phenology wheel workbook that each student will receive in their welcome package, along with 13 months of dropping into our inner and outer worlds in relation to the land we live on, the seasons, and the flora, fauna and animals in the areas where we live.
As priestesses, the creation of a respectful and meaningful animist practise that takes into account all living things around us is a fundamental
part of showing up as a good human. We make a point of understanding the first peoples who lands are that we live on and understand that we can never own land, we only steward it for the time we live on it.
Further to this, understanding how our human bodies react and flow with the moon, the seasons, the weather, and sunrise and sunset each day assists us in our healing work, calms our often overstimulated nervous systems and grounds us.
Our ancestors reside in our blood and bones, and their stories are accessible in the spirit realm.
Over the past decade of working in the unseen and ancestral realms I have found so much healing for both my own familial ancestors as well as the clients who come to me to understand and heal deep family patterns and deepen their own inner connections to their ancestors. This is why I feel it is so important for priestess work to have a loving and well-seated ancestral guide to work with as we move through our time together.
This work requires a steady container, and being adept at entering the spirit realm, which is why we do not drop into this work until month six.
This gives those who are new to journeying into the unseen realms time to feel strong and develop a relationship with their animal allies.
Journeyers will meet an ancestor in their family lineage asking them to step forward to support them on their journey and with their healing work.
Once we enter into the journey together our ancestral stories become available, and our ancestors rejoice!
These sections are optional depending on the apprentice and where they are in their lives...
Each student is given a copy of the book Moon Mysteries as a part of the welcome package, but those who drop into the blood mysteries work will read through the book for the 13 months that we are together reflecting on chapters as they correspond to the month, season and archetype we are working with.
Menstrual cycle tracking is a big part of the process and women will be asked to delve into their own blood mysteries, by charting their menstrual cycle as a reclamation of innate menstrual wisdom.
Menopausal Mysteries-Created for the Mystery School by Bronwyn Simons.
For women who are either menopausal, peri menopausal or no longer have a uterus Bronwyn had created something specific to the needs of non bleeding women born with a uterus. With a focus on self care and following our own unique body rhythms, women drop into a deeper understanding of the sacredness of no longer bleeding.
Women may also choose to read the Moon Mysteries book alongside this work with an eye of sharing their wisdom with other women, having come out the other side, or any young women in their lives.
