Hello and Welcome

My name is Nikiah {Pronounced Nik-eye-ah}
My ancestors made their way here to Canada via Romania, Ireland and Scotland four generations ago, and it is a gift for myself and my family to live on the unceded Indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
My calling lays in deep shadow work, and the liminal space between this world and the spirit world, and part of my calling my goal is to support women who are called to walk into these spaces with me. These tend to be strong women who are committed to picking up their own ancestral medicine and diving into their own healing journeys, no matter how shadowy those spaces are.
I am deeply inspired by the strength and wisdom of the women who come to work with me, and it is within this almost devotional inspiration that I hold space for them as they follow their own inner wisdom, essentially I am a space holder in every sense of the word.
My ability to hold strong space for others comes from years of working with woman and their families in the most tender of times during childbirth, death, marriage, and from the creation of hundreds of ceremonies for all sorts of transitions, from births and deaths to weddings and rites of passages of all kinds. My gifts lay in the support of crossing thresholds and in the required transitions that life brings us.

A deeper look
For the past 25 years I have been following my soul song down many different holistic pathways, each one of them leading me to my soul's purpose and calling. For many of these years I worked in the realm of women’s spirituality, dedicated to the world of sacred birthing as a birth doula, and educator where I was able to pull in my various training in herbalism, nutrition and sacred ceremony into what I offered the couples I worked with. Much of that work however, has now just become a small piece of the pathway that lead me to what I am today.
I am an initiated spirit worker/animist healer and priestess in my community as well as a drum maker, minister, and am co-author of the book Moon Mysteries. I am also a sacred beekeeper, and Death Doula, but not all on the same day I promise!
I currently live on the west coast of Canada, with my husband, two children, several thousand honey bees and a cat named Solstice, where I offer in person healing work, and host small gatherings and offer workshops on ancestral healing in my home through my sister site Ancestral Pathways.
Over the years I have been privileged to have worked with many teachers, and found a deep discipline and spiritual practise in the process of becoming an elder priestess, and spirit healer.
My shamanic animist training/apprenticeship/journey started in 2006 and comes from many different teachers over the years, including, John-Luke Edwards, Angela Prider, Yvonne Owens, Simon Buxton, Christina Pratt, Betsy Bergstrom, and Alison Skelton and many others.
As an ordained Minister and life cycle Celebrant, I love crafting ceremonies for life's sacred transitions, and I currently offer the creation of unique weddings, ceremonies, rites of passage, and sacred ceremony for those in their death journey, or who have already passed.
These days I often can also be found in my bee yard as a sacred beekeeper, and teaching at the College of the Melissae-Center for Sacred Beekeeping.
If you are interested in understanding more of how my spiritual journey has led me to the creation of this Mystery School, read about my full pathway to teaching here.
It is my sincere belief that all women are the keepers of Red Moon Wisdom, and so in the spirit of this wisdom all offerings here are dedicated to the awakening of the wild divine feminine mysteries.
